Erica Medina is a loving mother, a caring community member, and a fierce advocate. Born and raised in Pueblo, she graduated with honors from East High and a full ride scholarship from Daniel’s Fund.
Erica attended UC Denver and graduated with a Bachelors in Philosophy in 2013. Her hard work and dedication earned her a full ride to the Boston University School of Law.
After law school, Erica became a Public Defender in Roxbury, Massachusetts. During her four years there, she facilitated seminars to fellow attorneys on Critical Race Theory, fostering a deeper, systemic understanding of the justice system’s treatment of people of color.
In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Erica returned to Pueblo. Here, she continues to be involved in local grassroots efforts and mutual aid. She has volunteered with nonprofits including Apollo, El Movimiento Sigue and the Colorado Rapid Response Network.
Co-founder of Medina & Jimenez Law LLC, Erica also gives back to her community using her legal skills in providing holistic and client-centered legal representation.
Erica does all this on top of raising her six-year-old daughter and supporting her hard working partner. Her journey reflects a sincere dedication to her hometown and her drive for professional growth powered by her love for her community.
